Running Again
June 1, 2009
So I started to run again last week, hopefully I can keep running regularly. My last run was a 5 miler - there are a few hiccups in my pace, those are from me slowing down and letting my dog sniff around and piss and/or shit, but here are my results :
So far in 2009, with my biking and running I’ve only done a total of 19.9 miles. Hopefully I can keep this running routine up and build up some endurance and power from back when I was running cross country/track/marathons in high school.
You know what’s crazy? Crazy people. I once saw a crazy person, going all crazy in front of me. Then I realized I was standing in front of the mirror.
WHO’S CRAZY NOW?!??!?
Does anyone else enjoy urinating outdoors. There’s something about peeing on dirt, rocks, or a plant that I find very satisfying.
My brother picked up Resident Evil 5 on Friday. I’ll have to say it’s a very fun game and pretty addicting too as we ended up playing straight for 9 hours or so. We banged in a few more hours on Saturday and beat the game.
Graphically the game is awesome as well. It’s probably one of the best games I’ve seen to date. It runs smooth, and even with an ass load of zombies around in split-screen 2 player mode, I’ve yet to see the game stutter. The game play is pretty solid as well. The only thing I found annoying is the equipment menu, sure you can set items on the D-pad as quick shortcuts but while accessing the menu you are vulnerable. I’d have liked a system that made it easy it easy to cycle though the items. The story is not anything spectacular but the game does a good job in keeping the suspense up.
We unlocked the “mercenaries” mode where you kill zombies for points, and successive kills results in a combo multiplier effect. This, along with trying to unlock different skins, collectible, and other special game options gives the game a great deal of replay value.
I often find myself trying to customize my Windows desktop to make it look über sexy. I’m always looking for visual styles to change the looks for Windows theme, and changing things like the wallpaper, and other nifty desktop thingies.
For this config I’m using Radar for my visual style with Rainmeter using the Enigma, myHUDs, and MoxaBox configs with my own minor tweaks to customize them to my liking. On the bottom left I’m using CD Art Display with the Minimal 2 skin (also with minor tweaks) to control my media player of choice, foobar2000.
